Teradek Vidiu Go 3G-SDI / HDMI

The Teradek VidiU Go is a live video transmission system that supports both HDMI and 3G-SDI signals up to 1080p60. It features two USB 2.0 ports for streaming using the optional Node USB modems, and you can also use the Ethernet and Wi-Fi ports for streaming. The VidiU Go is a bonded device and uses Teradek's Core technology, which allows you to share the bandwidth of your streaming signal between connected modems, reducing the chance of frame drops and ensuring the quality of your stream.

The VidiU Go supports AVC/H.264 compression and HEVC (H.265), which offers the same quality as H.264 at about half the bandwidth. Teradek’s cloud provides access to their Core streaming platform, which allows you to remotely manage your VidiU Go. The included $500 Core credit gives you over 100 hours of streaming to multiple live platforms through Core. Additional features such as remote monitoring, HEVC transcoding, and cloud archiving are included with the Core subscription.

Dual video inputs

The VidiU Go connects seamlessly to both consumer and professional cameras via its HDMI and SDI inputs, as well as popular video switchers from Blackmagic, Newtek, Roland, vMix and others.

Live streaming directly

Teradek has simplified the start-up and configuration process, getting VidiU Go up and running quickly so you don’t miss a thing. You can set your streaming parameters via VidiU Go’s web and OLED interfaces, or pre-configure your device using the free VidiU app for iOS and Android. Once powered up, VidiU Go is ready to stream in under 10 seconds.

HEVC compression

VidiU Go includes both H.264 and HEVC compression, so you can choose the codec that best suits your project. HEVC video compression provides the same video quality as H.264 with half the bandwidth requirements, making it perfect for limited Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections or to save on data costs when streaming over mobile networks.

Stream via bonded networks

VidiU Go is designed to perform in the most challenging production environments, so it uses the same binding technology found in Teradek’s high-end broadcast systems. By combining the bandwidth of Ethernet, Wi-Fi and up to two 3G/4G/LTE modems, you can prevent your stream from dropping out, or use multiple iPhone and Android smartphones as hotspots for even more redundancy.

Compatible with Node for the VidiU Go

As the name suggests, the optional Node for VidiU Go works with the VidiU Go and is designed to be seamlessly side-mounted. It is a broadcast-grade modem that delivers 2-3x the performance of a carrier-branded modem.

Stream at the cutting edge

While the RTMP protocol does not yet support HEVC compression, Teradek's transcoding engine allows you to take advantage of the bandwidth savings of H.265 while ensuring video delivery in the common H.264 format (note that this particular transcoding is only possible via Teradek's Core).
