Sony RM-IP500 Remote Control Unit

The Sony RM-IP500/1 Professional Remote Controller for select Sony PTZ cameras, including the Sony BRC-AM7 and FR7. This compact device features a joystick for pan, tilt, and zoom control and can control up to 100 individual cameras over IP. In addition to the joystick, the controller features control buttons to access frequently used functions.

The controller also includes many “paint” functions that allow you to adjust the view of your cameras from one central point. Thanks to automatic IP addressing and camera numbering, connecting to your network is as easy as connecting an Ethernet cable to your camera. The RM-IP500 can store up to 100 presets, has a status indicator and, in addition to the joystick, offers zoom, focus and iris controls.

IP addressing and camera numbering

The RM-IP500 automatically handles the addressing of each camera you connect and assigns a camera number. This speeds up the configuration and operation of the cameras on your network.

100 cameras

The controller supports up to 100 BRC or SRG series cameras, allowing pan, tilt, zoom and other functions to be controlled over an IP network.

Save and recall camera presets

Depending on the specification and firmware version, the IP500 can store up to 100 presets of camera angles and settings.

Numeric keypad

The built-in numeric keypad speeds up switching between cameras.

Tally

Contains the modes: Normal Tally/On-Air Tally/Contact.

Camera Paint Features

Use the controller to individually adjust camera settings, including black levels, white balance, detail level, auto exposure level, iris, gain and shutter speed, all without having to enter each camera's menu system.
