Sony BRC-AM7 4K60 with AI Auto-Framing (White)

The Sony BRC-AM7 4K60 PTZ camera with AI Auto-Framing combines a 1.0” Exmor RS image sensor with approximately 14.0 million effective pixels and the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine for high resolution with low noise, rendering textures and materials true to life. This PTZ camera has built-in AI auto-framing, advanced subject tracking, and instant pan and tilt drive using newly developed motors, resulting in exceptionally smooth, remarkably quiet camera operation.

Built-in AI PTZ Auto Framing

This PTZ camera features advanced AI analytics that can accurately track subjects with smooth, natural-looking framing. AI analytics uses detailed human poses, head, face, clothing and other data to recognize human subjects with high precision. It can be used to automatically control pan, tilt and zoom to track an athlete during a sporting event, etc. PTZ auto-framing is smooth and natural-looking, making it possible to work with a smaller camera crew.

Excellent topic tracking

The latest Exmor RS image sensor and BIONZ XR image processing engine work together to produce outstanding subject detection precision and speed for significantly improved tracking performance. The image sensor features phase-detection AF in the imaging area, making it easy to focus on fast-moving subjects with extraordinary speed and precision over a wide area.

PTZ Auto Framing works in conjunction with this new AF system to dramatically improve overall AF tracking performance. For example, a performer who is actively moving on stage can be reliably tracked while maintaining precise focus. With this capability, a multi-camera system can be set up to track individual performers without the need for a correspondingly large camera crew.

Integrated 24-480mm lens

A newly developed built-in lens features a 20x optical zoom with a 35mm equivalent range of 24-480mm. In addition, Sony's advanced Clear Image Zoom offers 30x zoom (720mm) in UHD 4K and 40x zoom (940mm) in 1080p. This provides an extraordinary range that lets you easily capture a subject in a variety of situations.

Improved image performance and interoperability

A 20x optical zoom range and 1.5 and 2x Clear Image Zoom allow the BRC-AM7 to capture images from wide-angle to close-up, while delivering high-quality UHD 4K60p output.

Seamless integration with Sony systems

The integration of ITU709/709tone, S-Cinetone and S-Log3 support provides enhanced interoperability with existing Sony cameras, and compatibility with S700PTP, free-d and additional protocols offers broad system connectivity. The BRC-AM7 is the smallest and lightest camera of its kind, making it unobtrusive and easy to install anywhere, even in multi-camera setups.

Broad connectivity

In addition to the 12G-SDI primary output, there is 3G-SDI for surveillance. The BRC-AM7 offers various video output options, including HDMI and a 12G-SDI optical fiber available via an SFP slot.

Audio input can be connected via a pair of 3-pin XLR connectors or a 3.5mm stereo jack, allowing for plug-in compatibility.

Power can be supplied via a standard 4-pin XLR connector or a PoE++ network connection without additional wiring in environments where no power infrastructure is available.

Built-in variable ND filter

The built-in electronic variable neutral density (ND) filter allows seamless variation from 1/4 to 1/128 ND, with an auto exposure mode that automatically maintains optimal exposure under varying light conditions. Ideal exposure can be maintained when, for example, stage lighting changes, without having to adjust iris, shutter, or gain. You can also achieve optimal exposure without affecting depth of field in the widest possible range of lighting situations.
