Epiphan Pearl Nano Streamer & Recorder
The Epiphan Pearl Nano can be used for simple encoding productions or much more complex setups thanks to its extensive feature set and versatility. 4K streaming and recording options are available with an add-on license.
Pearl Nano features HDMI program out, zero-latency HDMI pass-through to local monitors, and audio support via dual XLR, RCA, and USB inputs. Further streamline your setup with the ability to power the Nano via PoE+ instead of the included power supply. A front SD card slot and expansion slot with support for M.2 SATA SSDs allow you to record locally then automatically offload files to a USB drive, local server, or network storage device.
Advanced and easy-to-use streaming and recording features allow you to integrate the Nano into extensive productions. SRT encoding and decoding capabilities along with end-to-end control allow the Nano to be used as an encoder for guests dialing in for hybrid events. Broad streaming protocol support allows you to stream to any CDN or streaming server using protocols such as SRT, HLS, RTMP, and RTMPS.
You can also arrange the layout of your choice for your video program with Pearl Nano's custom layout designer. Create everything from simple picture-in-picture layouts to compositions with dynamic backgrounds and other custom graphics.
Operate Pearl Nano your way
Use the Pearl Nano's front display screen for basic configuration and control, or jump into the browser-based interface to access all of the compact and versatile streamer and recorder's features. Alternatively, you can centralize configuration and monitoring via Epiphan's cloud-based platform (for a fee).
Front screen
The Pearl Nano’s front-facing display provides quick access to essential functions such as basic configuration and simple streaming and recording. During events, the built-in display serves as an at-a-glance verification of your audio level and video program during production.
Cloud-based configuration and monitoring
Streamline the configuration and monitoring of multiple Pearl Nanos and other Epiphan devices with centralized access to key metrics such as operational status, system load, device temperature, available storage, and overall health.
Ideal for SRT contributions
The compact and lightweight Pearl Nano supports Haivision's open-source Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol for secure, high-quality, low-latency video streaming over any network.
Pairing with Panopto, Kaltura and YuJa
Deep integration with Panopto, Kaltura and YuJa content management platforms allows you to start and stop scheduled streaming or recording events using Pearl Nano’s built-in screen and controls. The system can also push recordings to a user’s folder on either platform to save post-event processing time.
No-Fuss Networks and Security
Easily add Pearl Nano to any network and prevent unauthorized access with comprehensive security features including DHCP and LDAP support, role-based access control, 802.1x network access control, and SSL.
