Have you ever had the time-consuming task of running two different SDI cables to one camera, one for input and one for return? The Middle Things Fiber Camera Box 12G combines these two cables into a single fiber optic cable, which is lighter and much more reliable than traditional copper BNC cables because it is immune to all electromagnetic interference. You can run your fiber optic cable for thousands of kilometers without any dropouts... in 4K!

Rugged converter, designed for on-site use

The converter’s compact size and aluminum housing make it ideal for on-camera use. With both an SDI input and SDI output, the camera operator can also receive program video (or other video) from the control room. As the Blackmagic Camera Control & Talkback protocol is also supported, it is the perfect companion for a URSA Broadcast , a URSA Mini or a Studio Camera 4K Pro. A D-tap to 12V DC cable is included, allowing you to power the converter from your camera.

Industry standard and widely used fiber connector

The Neutrik Optical ConDuo connector makes this converter compatible with both widely used LC/LC fiber cables as well as Neutrik’s robust Optical Con Advanced Duo & Duo Lite cables, designed for field use and harsh environments. The connector has a built-in auto-termination that protects the fiber cores when the cable is disconnected.

In combination with a Fiber Dispatch, a Fiber Unite or a Fiber Bridge, many configurations are possible that will greatly improve your daily multi-camera workflow!

The Fiber Camera Box SDI 6G can be used with the Middle Things Dispatch 5, Bridge 5, Bridge 10 and the Blackmagic Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G converter with 6G SFP modules.

Supported SDI video signals are 3G, 6G and 12G (max 2160p30 ).
