Atomos Shinobi II 5.2" HDMI HDR Monitor
Enrich your on-camera monitoring with the Atomos Shinobi II 5.2” HDMI HDR Monitor. Designed for vloggers, photographers and content creators, the Shinobi II features numerous enhancements over the original Shinobi, including an even slimmer and lighter design, a 50% brighter display at 1500 cd/m², USB-C camera control for Canon/Panasonic/Sony/Z CAM with status indicators, a new AtomOS 11 interface, USB-C PD power I/O, a locking HDMI and USB-C adapter, upgraded imaging tools, and ultra-low battery consumption allowing the monitor to work all day on just a single battery.
Camera control
Use the USB-C port to control the latest mirrorless and DSLR cameras from Canon, Panasonic, Sony and the Z CAM E2 line. There's also a 2.5mm LANC port on the side for additional control compatibility.
NOTE: This will be expanded in the future to include support for cameras from FUJIFILM, Nikon, OM System and Sigma with firmware updates.
Camera status
The camera status indicator lets you keep an eye on the camera's internal recording settings, battery status, and remaining recording time. A red border around the screen indicates when the camera is recording internally, whether triggered by the camera or the Shinobi II.
AtomOS 11 & Advanced Image Tools
The Shinobi II features the latest Atomos AtomOS 11, which introduces a host of new tools and features with a more logical layout and easier to navigate interface.
Use the Shinobi II interface to adjust your camera lens aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO with built-in exposure tools such as false color, waveforms, zebras, or histogram, and achieve perfect exposure with every shot.
Brighter screen
The 5.2” touchscreen display is 50% brighter than the Shinobi, with a peak brightness of 1500 cd/m², making it easy to read whether you’re shooting indoors or in bright sunlight.
Input signals
The Shinobi II has an HDMI 1.4 input that allows you to view signals in various resolutions and frame rates up to DCI/UHD 4K30 and up to 1080p60.
HDR and LUT support
With HDR HLG and HDR PQ monitoring, you can preview what your camera’s log output might look like in HDR. Users can also upload up to eight of their own LUTs to the monitor’s built-in storage to preview their shots with their own favorite looks.
Frame guides
A variety of built-in cinema-style and social media-focused frame guides help compose your shots, including presets for 2.41, 2.35, 1.91, 1.9, 1.85, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, 2:3, 1:1, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2.
Lightweight design
The monitor has been slimmed down to a mere 210g. In addition to the 1/4"-20 thread, additional mounting holes have been added to prevent twisting. A single L-series battery plate on the back has been placed in the center for better balance and maneuverability. The included HDMI/USB-C locking adapter allows you to use Atomos' new line of locking cables to prevent disconnection or pulling.
Power Options
There are multiple ways to power the Shinobi II, including an L-series/NP-F style battery, an optional battery eliminator (dummy battery) in combination with a DC barrel to D-Tap cable, or via a USB-C PD charger with 10W input. You can also charge/power your camera via the USB-C PD 13W output while using the Shinobi II’s camera control features.
