Atomos Shinobi 7

The Shinobi 7" 4K HDMI/SDI monitor from Atomos features a 1920 x 1200 10-bit FRC IPS display with a brightness of 2200 cd/m², making it suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor conditions. This larger model enhances the original Shinobi as it has a 3G-SDI input with loop-through up to 2K60, HDMI 2.0 input and loop-through up to 4K60, signal conversion, a camera control port, dual Sony L-series battery slots, and a USB and RJ45 port.

The touchscreen Shinobi 7 runs the latest AtomOS firmware with a variety of analysis tools, such as multi-scope views, exposure, framing, focus assist, waveform, RGB parade and histogram tools. It also features an SD card slot to load custom 3D LUTs, and it supports SDR and HDR playback. The AtomHDR display technology allows you to accurately display your log-gamma recordings. The monitor supports popular log formats from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED and JVC cameras.

It also supports camera control using the 2.5mm port via optional cables, and currently supports control of Z CAM E2 series cinema cameras. The Shinobi 7 has a lightweight chassis and is powered by a dual Sony L-series battery plate or using the included power adapter.

AtomHDR

With AtomHDR, you can monitor up to ten stops of dynamic range from your camera's LOG image. Most conventional monitors can only display six or seven stops, which is fine for standard images; but a Log image looks too faded. It is also superior to monitoring with a charged LUT, which can clip the highlights and close the shadows.

DCI/UHD 4K and 2K input/output

Monitoring of 4K images in DCI or UHD format via HDMI 2.0 up to 60 fps and up to 2K60 via 3G-SDI.

HDMI and 3G-SDI loop outputs.

The Shinobi 7 supports HDMI/SDI conversion.

Audio monitoring

Input/output audio through HDMI, and output audio through the 3.5mm headphone port.

7" daylight viewable screen

The Shinobi 7 features a 7" IPS LCD 1920 x 1200 display illuminated by a bright 2200 cd/m² LED backlight, allowing daylight viewing without the need for a lens hood. In addition, the display is also color calibrated from the factory for accurate image reproduction.

HDR signal management

Log and HDR signals can be difficult to monitor with conventional equipment. The Shinobi's built-in HDR signal management allows the Log signal to be converted to the PQ standard for compatibility with existing consumer and professional HDR equipment.

Power management

The rear of the monitor features dual Sony L-series battery slots for extended recording time, and a universal power adapter is also included.

Camera Control

The monitor has a 2.5mm control port that currently supports the control of Z CAM E2 series cinema cameras.

Anamorphic de-queeze

The Shinobi 7 supports anamorphic de-squeeze, so you can view anamorphic images in 2x, 1.5x, 1.33 and Panasonic's 8:3 ratio.

3D LUT Management

An SD card slot allows you to load custom 3D LUTs on both input and output signals.
