AJA's HA5-12G converteert een HDMI 2.0 ingang naar 12G-SDI voor 4K/UltraHD single link uitgangen. HA5-12G bevat twee 12G-SDI distributieversterkeruitgangen met 8 of 2 kanalen ingebedde audio van een HDMI-bron of 2-kanaals analoge audio (RCA) ingang.
HA5-12G ondersteunt ook EDID-emulatie (Extended Display Identification Data), wat ervoor zorgt dat de aangesloten bron continu de aangepaste voorkeursvideoformaten levert bij de uitvoer.
HA5-12G-T en HA5-12G-T-ST Fiber SFP-uitgeruste modellen zijn eenkanaals zenders die HDMI 4K/UltraHD-signalen kunnen uitbreiden over lange afstanden, tot 10 km via respectievelijk een enkele LC- of ST-vezelverbinding. Deze modellen worden geleverd met geïnstalleerde SFP's en beschikken over alle functionaliteit van de HA5-12G, met als extra voordeel dat audio- en videosignalen verder worden uitgebreid.
