It has 63Wh larger capacity comparing with BP-U60, and has a D-tap 14.4V DC output socket for SWIT LED light S-2000, allows to power camera and light simultaneously.
S-8U62 also has a 4-level LED indicator to give you a view of remaining power before mounting to camera.
S-8U62 fits into the EX1/EX3 body but is powered by a lead with pole jack connection which fits into the power DC connection on the rear of the camera. The lead is attached to the battery and neatly folds into a recess at the top of the battery. When power EX1, user should pull the lead a little out to reach the DC-IN port of EX1.
S-8U62 could be charged by SONY BP-U1 and the build-in intelligent circuit has multiple protections of abnormal current, voltage and temperature.
